Position title: Sales Manager  – Composites
Location Windsor, ON
Reports to: Managing Director / Sales Director Business Unit Composites
Effective date: TBD
Key Overall Objective of the position

To improve the overall sales of the Composites Division by improving customer relations and to ensure adequate tracking and performance of projects. The position should help drive sales by being knowledgeable about all products and services, providing offers to customers, aid in negotiations with customers, maintain customer relations and keep updated on market conditions.




Key Accountabilities



  1. Technical sales for the range of products and services include both process technology for manufacturing fiber-reinforced components including reworking and direct technologies, as well as complete system solutions with automation
  2. Knowledge of the automotive industry and its subcontractors
  3. Customer Relationship Manager (CRM)
  4. Maintain and expand customer contacts
  5. Keep up to date on market conditions


Key Duties


  1. Provide technical sales
  2. Customer Relationship Management
  3. Reporting Sales Initiatives directly to the German Head Office/Local Managing Director
  4. Assist in determining potential sales prospects by discussing technical issues with customers and understanding customer needs and how we could help optimize their facility
  5. Create and or help create and discuss technical offers with customers (includes also preliminary engineering and idea generation)
  6. Keep up to date on current market conditions as well as maintain good customer contacts and relations
  7. Provide customer follow up and project management as required
  8. Project Management of customer projects


Minimum Qualifications (Educations, Skills, and Knowledge)
* 5- 10 years of Experiences in Sales

* A degree in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)

* Process knowledge in hydraulic press systems would be an asset

* Project Management knowledge

* Ability to travel outside of xx

List essential computer or application skills here:

* Strong user of MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Project

* SAP knowledge would be considered an asset

* Ability to learn software applications as needed is critical

Additional Desired Qualifications and Competencies:
* Professional Engineer (P. Eng./P.E.) would be considered an asset

* Engineering background is required

* Working knowledge of the German language would be an asset

* Ability to talk technically and proficiently with customers
